NEWS2018 Dr. Tamara Knific was awarded with Krka award for her doctoral disertation titled, "Identification of novel biomarkers for endometriosis and endometrial cancer using proteomic and metabolomic approaches", conducted under the mentorship of prof. dr. Tea Lanišnik Rižner. The aim of her Ph.D. thesis was to identify biomarkers of endometriosis and endometrial cancer that can be combined with clinical data for construction of diagnostic and prognostic models and for further translation into clinical practice. Using targeted proteomics and metabolomics approaches and statistical modeling Dr. Tamara Knific constructed algorithms with good diagnostic and/or prognostic characteristics which require additional clinical validation.
