Researchers at all levels - scientists, representatives from industry and government, professors, post-docs, and students are invited to submit abstracts presenting new research results related to research in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics (online submission form can be accessed at the bottom of this page).
General guidelines
Abstracts must be submitted in English.
All abstracts must be submitted through the online abstract submission system. Submitting more than one abstract is acceptable.
In addition to determining to which section you wish to submit your abstract, please have the following information prepared:
Your abstract (limited to 1700 characters including spaces) saved as a computer (Word, Notepad, etc.) file on your computer's hard drive. Because authors' names are submitted separately in the process, please do not paste author and title information in abstract window.
Total length of the title of abstract must be no more than 140 characters including spaces. Title is submitted separetely in the process, please do not paste the title in the abstract submission window.
Full name, university and city for the abstract's first author and for each co-author.
You will be able to revise your abstract before completing the registration/abstract submission procedure.
You must submit your personal registration information and if applicable any abstract at the same time.
If the authors wish to submit the abstract for consideration for the Golden Chromosome Award, you must select the checkbox on the Registration page and continue with abstract submission.
Authors are responsible that work presented in abstracts must conform to the applicable policy and principles for experimental procedures. The main author must ensure that work presented in the abstract is in accord with ethical policies on using animals and human subjects in research, and approved by (where applicable) the National Medical Ethics Committee or Veterinary Ethics Committee. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to contact the author or institution for clarification or proof of review board approval prior to acceptance of the abstract.
Please note, submissions not meeting the submission guidelines risk rejection without consideration of their merits.

Abstract formatting guidelines
You may use simple HTML (hyper text mark-up language) elements, as described below to include bold, italic, super- and sub-script in both the title and abstract. These will be shown when you press the "Registration proofreading" button. After doing this and checking your abstract, you can submit it or return to make alterations.
To italicize text, begin words with <i>, and end them with </i>
To bold text, begin words with <b>, and end them with </b>
To superscript text, begin words with <sup>, and end them with </sup>
To subscript text, begin words with <sub>, and end them with </sub>
To underline text, begin words with <u>, and end them with </u>
Be sure to include the less-than (<) and greater-than (>) symbols around the mark up codes. You will see the effect of the above mark up codes when you press the "Registration proofreading" button.
The following link includes a selection of HTML codes for the ASCII symbols. You may use them if your abstract contains other special characters not supported by our system.
